AI email agents: 7 inbox setups that draft first

Last updated · by Thomas, editor · How we verify

Every inbox agent here does the same safe thing: it reads, sorts and writes drafts, and a person sends. They differ in what triggers them, which tools they use, and how much they're trusted to do alone.

Each recipe links to the original post or workflow and lists exactly where it has to stop and ask.

Details come from each recipe's source. Setup time is shown only where the recipe states it.

How to choose

Common questions

Can an AI agent answer my email automatically?

These setups mostly don't. They classify and draft, and a person sends. The Outlook build allows auto-send only for one narrow, low-risk category after two weeks of clean drafts.

Gmail or Outlook?

Both appear here: the n8n consulting build and the Grok Bot setups use Gmail, and the triage workflow uses Outlook through the Graph API.
