Part 1 · What the source did

A Claude Code plugin that breaks work into atomic tasks with dependencies and gives each subagent only the context it needs, in parallel worktrees.

  • Each subagent gets just its objective, relevant spec sections, upstream summaries and files to touch.
  • Independent tasks run in parallel; progress lives in .orchestra/.
  • Installs via the Claude Code plugin marketplace.

Summary written by Agent Cookbook. See the original for the full context.

Part 2 · Our copy-paste version

Adapted by us from what the source described. Fill in the [BRACKETS].

The prompt

Break [SPEC.md] into atomic tasks. For each: id, objective (one sentence), files to touch, depends_on, acceptance check (a command). Rules: no task touches more than 3 files; tasks with no dependency between them can run in parallel. Show me the task graph and wait for my OK before dispatching anything.
🛡
Approval ruleDispatch only after you approve the graph; merge only after checks pass.

Set it up

  1. Install the plugin (or use the prompt with plain subagents).
  2. Write a short spec.
  3. Approve the task graph.
  4. Review each task's summary and the final diff.

Common failures

⚠
What usually goes wrong
  • Tasks too large lose the context benefit.
  • Parallel tasks editing the same file conflict.

Variations

  • Use for cross-repo changes.
  • Resume a stopped run instead of starting over.
